Walton Ford

Walton Ford

Walton Ford's drawings recall a time when explorers roamed uncharted oceans, when rumors of primeval lands and exotic creatures fed our fears and dreams. Ford is attracted to the most documented of these journeys, which were accounts by western colonialists 'discovering' the east - the Orientalists.

This snippet has been taken from a great article by Kiša Lala.

I can not find any solo web site showcasing Mr Ford's painting. But by googling his images you will be amazed at his imagery and standard.

Roq La Rue

Welcome to Roq La Rue's website!

Since their opening in 1998, they have been an integral part of the Pop Surrealism/Underground Contemporary art movement. With continuing to exhibit established artists in the genre as well as fostering emerging artists, many of whom go on to great acclaim in the Pop Surrealism and Contemporary art scene. Their emphasis is on art that embodies technical craftsmanship blended with fantastical imagery and visually dynamic narratives. They have amazing events each month and I like to keep an eye out for. Check out there latest show, which opened last night... Enjoy!
